Day 2  Siem Reap ( B/L/D )

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast its time for visiting the Banteay Srey.

Built by a Brahman in the 10th Century, this temple was dedicated to Shiva. The famous pink sandstone structure bears a series of beautiful sculptures, lintels, pediments and friezes. While not a particularly large temple complex, the beauty of Banteay Srey is found not in the scale but the detail. Some say the bas relief work is the best example of Khmer classical art remaining. We continue to another temple, Ta Prohm. This temple was a monastery built by Jayavarman VII as a residence for his mother. Ta Prohm has been controversially left to the destructive power of the jungle by French archaeologists to show how nature can destroy man’s work. It has been largely overgrown by the jungle and as you climb through the dilapidated stone structures you see many giant trees growing out of the top of the temple itself. It's the sort of place where you'd expect to see Indiana Jones step out from behind a fallen pillar. As such, it is one of the most regularly visited temples, with visitors often arriving during the warmer hours of the middle of the day to take advantage of the protective canopy the forest spreads above the temple. Ta Prohm looks as many of the monuments did when European explorers first laid eyes on them. Lunch at a local restaurant or at the hotel. Continue to visit Prah khan, Neak Pean and Angkor Wat temples and enjoy watching sunset from that mountain. Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 3  Siem Reap ( B/L/D )

Breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards we start the sightseeing in Angkor. We will make a stop at the South Gate of Angkor Thom. Inside its walls there are many monuments: The Bayon. This temple mountain built by Jayavarman VII is situated in the centre of the city of Angkor Thom. It is a three-tiered pyramid with its entrance facing East. The central shrine is surrounded by 54 towers all crowned by gigantic faces, representing Lokiteshvara, but with the features of Jayavarman VII. They gaze out to the North, South, East and West, and wherever you are in the temple, you are surrounded by these enigmatic faces, smiling at you all the time. This sets The Bayon apart from many other Angkorean monuments.

Lunch at hotel restaurant. In the afternoon we will drive to the Tole Sap Great Lake. This is perhaps one of the most ecological wonders in the world, Tonle Sap is located in the middle of Cambodia. It is the Tonle Sap Lake that feeds the people of Cambodia with tons of fresh water fish, carps, mussels, and herrings all year round. To a wide array of birds and fish-eating waterfowls, Tonle Sap provides them the fruitful aquatic habitats. During the dry season, the depth of the lake is only 1 metre, but in the wet season, marvellous natural phenomenal takes place when the Tonle Sap River reverses its direction and floods the lake, enlarging its size, then Tonle Sap Lake becomes one of the largest lake in Southeast Asia. With its biological diversity, the Tonle Sap Lake has naturally established bird sanctuary around Prek Toal where rare breeds, the milky stork and the spot-billed pelican can be seen. These days, number of visitors who add famous bird-watching spot of Prek Toal into their Siem Reap’s trip is increasing, particular from December to May.
